Teddy Fincher

Services for Mr. Teddy Fincher will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church of Arcadia, with Bro. Donnie Underwood officiating the services. A burial will follow at Alabama Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. 

Teddy was born February 29, 1936, to Jesse and Ethel Perritt Fincher. He passed away peacefully at his home on January 24, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Teddy was a man of many talents. He worked as a truck driver, as well as for ConAgra. But he is most well known as the watermelon man. Teddy loved selling vegetables. It gave him an opportunity to talk to everyone who stopped by. He was a very gracious man, who most often, would not charge for the vegetables, if he did, it was not for much. Teddy also enjoyed hunting and fishing. But the greatest joy in his life was his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Teddy will be missed by all those that knew him, but especially by his loving family.

Teddy is preceded by his parents Jesse and Ethel Fincher, his wife, the love of his life, Nellie Vern Fincher, by his siblings, son Steve Fincher, son-in-law Michael Harris, and son-in-law Terry Strickland. 

Left to cherish his memory is his children; Lisa Orso and husband Johnny, Betty Harris, Phil Fincher and wife Vicky, and Kathy Strickland, grandchildren; Nick Orso, Miranda Roberson and husband Blue, Jermaine Harris, Tyler Fincher, Sheree Duck and husband Steven, Kaley Copeland and husband Baxter, Stacy Austin and husband Andy and Jessica Robertson and husband Jep, Nikki Allgrunn, Teddy Fincher, Stephanie Fincher, Cassie Fincher, great grandchildren; BJ, Kayla, CJ, TJ, JJ, Mykell, Caleb, Corbin, Amy, AJ, Lilly and husband Austin, Merritt, Priscilla, River, and Gus, great-great grandchild Siah, by his special surviving friends Jackie Bates, Roy Rogers, and Jody, and by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. 

Honoring Teddy as pallbearers will be, Johnny Orso, Charles Tibbs, Jermaine Harris, BJ Roberson, JJ Harris, and Tommy Prince. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Bates and Roy Rogers.
