Sybil Diane Beasley peacefully passed away surrounded by her family in Bossier City, Louisiana on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 64. She resided in Bossier City and was born in Shreveport to Prentiss Kennedy Wood and Lois Ross Wood on January 26, 1960.

Sybil was a bookkeeper and retired business education teacher at Minden High School. She loved her Lord and Savior with great faith, leaving a forwarding address of heaven inviting everyone to come there someday. Within her family, she was a constant source of strength and unwavering support for her husband, sons, and continually growing extended family.

Her love extended beyond family to include a vibrant network of friends she made throughout a lifetime of travels. She enjoyed Bible study, traveling, talking to her friends on the phone, and going to lunch with her friends and her cousin, Grace. While we grieve her loss, the constant love and unity she nurtured in us will continually inspire us to become the best versions of ourselves, just as she always believed us to be.

Sybil was preceded in death by her parents, Prentiss Kennedy Wood and Lois Ross Wood. She is survived by her husband, and best friend of 41 years, Guy W. Beasley; sons, Michael Ross Holland (Tara) of Shreveport, LA, and Joshua Guy Beasley (Amy) of Frisco, TX; six beautiful and cherished granddaughters, Faith Breanne Holland, Ella Grace Holland, Abby Grace Beasley, Josie Kate Beasley, Emery Paige Andrews, and Scarlett Elizabeth Andrews; brother, Henry Wood; nephews, Shane Wood and Peyton Wood; niece, Tawni Aaron, and a special cousin (sister), Grace Nelson and family.

The family invites you to attend a celebration of her life on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA. Visitation with family will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Ramah Cemetery, in Ashland, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bob Jameson and Douglas Fulenwider.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Icenhower, Donnie Martin, Jeff Nelson, Waylon Nelson, Wyatt Nelson, Shane Wood, and Peyton Wood. Honorary pallbearers include Jackie Nelson, John Paul, Henry Wood, and James Wood.
