Susan H. Chandler

A Graveside Service for Susan H. Chandler, 75, will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave. in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Michael Loftin.
 
 Susan was born on August 15, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Kyle and Mary Hanlin and passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 in Frierson, Louisiana.
 
 Susan graduated from Slidell High School. She married the love of her life, James A. Chandler on October 29, 1987. Her career was in the banking industry her entire life. She was an avid reader and one of her hobbies included collecting elephants. She loved animals, and she loved her church.
 
 Susan is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy; and son, Pat. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melinda Poe, Tina Kirkland, Terri Travis, Sharon Creamer, and Jaymi Lawrence; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 
 Honoring Susan as pallbearers will be Ryan Creamer, Bryan Creamer, Paul Fanguy, Greg Kirkland, Ben Franco, and Dennis Franco. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Scott Lowery.
 
 The family suggests memorials may be made to her church, Mansfield Rd. Baptist Church in Keithville, Louisiana in Susan’s name.
