Susan was born on February 7, 1958 to Larry W. and Hilda Pitts Butler in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on June 1, 2024 in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Susan embraced life with intensity. She was usually the life of the party. She had quite a sense of adventure, which was evident, especially recently, when she retired as a dental hygienist and took to the open road with her husband Scott. She was loving life, watching the countryside and the ever-changing views, and enjoying in the simple pleasures.

One of her greatest passions was her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Grandma”. Susan doted on her grandkids, creating lasting memories through her unconditional love, infectious laughter, and zest for life. And also, through her crazy ideas and endless fun that she had with them.

While her life brought her many joys, Susan endured the loss of her son Dan. She felt his absence profoundly, but now her passing has reunited them. She will be deeply and dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Dan Bradley Graff, Jr.  She is survived by her husband, Scott Boatner; daughter, Christy Poole and husband Aaron; grandchildren, Danlee, Eli and Ella Poole;  sister, Barbara Mondello and husband, Buddy; niece, Brandi Lawrence; nephew, Russell Mondello; father and mother-in-law, W.D. and Kathy Boatner; brothers-in-law, Dwight and Morris Boatner, sisters-in-law, Shelia and Cecilia; uncle, David Pitts and wife, Karen, as well as numerous cousins.
