Susan Alexander

Funeral services honoring the life of Susan Elizabeth Alexander, 86, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall Street Chapel, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Billy Flowers of First Baptist Greenwood. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.

Susan Alexander was born June 21, 1940 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Earnest and Bessie McComic and passed away, Saturday, October 31, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Susan’s first marriage to Robert Duncan Sr from 1958 until 1969 resulted in two children, Robert and Susan Duncan. In 1993, she married Charles Alexander with whom she enjoyed a wonderful relationship until his death in 2008. She was a bookkeeper for many years before retirement and was a member of First Baptist Greenwood where she was secretary.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Alexander, and her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert Duncan and wife, Cheryl, of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Susan Knox of Jacksonville, FL; and her grandsons, Ian Duncan, Noah Duncan, Nathan Knox, and Duncan Knox.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ian Duncan, Noah Duncan, Amos Edwards, Pace Edwards, Townes Edwards, Rudy Larue, Michael Larue, Paul Larue, and David Larue.
