A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Steve Michael Frith, 66, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 4700 Palmetto Road, Benton, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial to follow the service at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Monsignor Earl Provenza.

Steve was born October 1, 1956, in Magnolia, Arkansas. He was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church. He graduated in 1974 from Woodlawn High School and proudly wore the number 81 football jersey. He attended Northwestern University and was a Freshman Letterman. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.

Steve will be remembered by many for his athletic agility and talents, his precision and tenacity about details for his skilled trade, his quick wit, and most importantly his loyalty and courage.

He loved to share his overflowing delight about being with his children and grandchildren, his enjoyment of cooking and traveling with his wife, and his excitement about his favorite football teams. He embraced life and loved his family dearly.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, James Frith and Clorice Frith. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra Frith; three children, Lindsey Hadden, John Frith, and James Frith; grandchildren, Jude Paul Hadden and Piper Kay Hadden; sister, Vicky Frisch; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Honoring Steve as pallbearers will be Terry Frisch, Marcus Frisch, Earl Alexander, Austin Alexander, Bobby Cummings, and Clay Cummings.

Steve’s family would like to sincerely thank the many friends, family, physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses for their support during this time. The family would like to express a thank you to Melanie Smith, MD, Willis-Knighton Medical Center Cardiac team, and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Cardiac team.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church, 4700 Palmetto Road, Benton, Louisiana 71006, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
