Funeral services for Stephen Christopher "Chris" Brantley, 36, will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Pastor D.L. of Bethel Assembly of God Church.
Chris was born on September 23, 1988, to Steven Brantley and Rhonda Hales in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on August 27, 2025, in Shreveport.
A lifelong resident of Shreveport, Chris worked in the Oilfield Industry and attended Southwood High School. He was known for his love of fishing, monster trucks, the color lime green, good food, and country music. Chris had a generous heart and was always ready to help those in need. He cherished his family—especially Aunt Amy, Nanny, and Papaw, and girlfriend, Kymmie—and held his friends close. Intelligent and impulsive, Chris lived life with passion and authenticity.
Chris is preceded in death by William DeYoung II (Papaw) and William DeYoung III (Bones). Left to cherish his memory are his children: daughters, Mychaela Brantley and Kaitlynn Brantley, and son, Jaxon Brantley.
Honoring Chris as pallbearers will be Trey McInnis, Landyn McInnis, Chuck Hales, Jonathan Procell, Travis DeYoung, Tony DeYoung, and Brad Carter.
