Stephen Allen Staples, 28, of Shreveport died suddenly April 19, 2022. This loss was completely unexpected leaving family and friends shocked and deeply saddened. He will be truly missed in so many ways.
He was born February 3, 1994, to Mike and Denise Staples. In his younger days, Stephen enjoyed playing basketball and was a talented guitar player. Stephen\'s hobbies included fishing, working on his Jeep, and spending time with his family and friends. Anyone that knew Stephen was touched by his kindness and humor. He always did his best to make everyone laugh.
Stephen became a father in November, and it changed his whole life. He loved his daughter, Audrey, and did everything he could to make sure she was cared for and loved.
Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Douglas Staples, Kay Sue Staples Ogletree, and John Lendon Hamm, II. He is survived by his wife, Kasey Staples; daughter, Audrey Staples; and stepsons, Jaxon Christie and Kayden Jones. He is also survived by his parents, Mike and Denise Staples; sisters, Candace Schutt (Stephen) and Danielle Cox (Jon); nieces, Lillian and Charlotte Cox; grandmother, Patricia Savoy Hamm; and grandfather, Erwin Ogletree. Also left to cherish his memory are numerous family and friends.
Services will be held Monday, April 25, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service to follow at noon in the chapel.
