Stephanie Denise Faries

Denise Faries, born August 25, 1957 passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 69.

Denise treasured her children, grandchildren, and the friends she treated like family. She grew up in Angleton, TX. After high school, she attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA before starting her career at International Paper. Many of her friendships were made while working at International Paper for almost 50 years - both in Shreveport and Mansfield, LA .

Denise found great joy in helping others and being in nature. She loved to travel and was always ready for a new adventure with her grandchildren, friends, and family.

Denise was preceded in death by her sister, Sherrie Rogers Henslee; mother, Glenda Dare Rogers; father, William Russell "Sonny" Rogers; and former husband, Richard C. Faries. She is survived by her sister, Brenda Sue Thompson; daughter, Stephanie M. Faries; son, Richard M. Faries (Katie); grandchildren, Rowan Miller, Layton Clark, Easton Clark, Emmit Faries, Noel Faries, and Jack Faries; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. The funeral service will immediately follow at noon. Burial will take place at Forest Park West Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darren Bonnette, Adam Bryant, John Dickson, Mark Jones, James Pendarvis, and Nathan Price.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to The Arbor Day Foundation, First Methodist Church in Shreveport, LA, or Karnack Methodist Church in Karnack, TX.
