Funeral services for Stanley Patrick Pilcher will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Many Chapel of Rose-Neath funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother Hayward Hossler and Brother Kenny Carter. Stanley was born October 6, 1950 in Converse, LA to Henry Lester Pilcher and Esther (Lopez) Pilcher and entered into rest on September 20, 2019. He served honorably in the United States Army.
Stanley was active during the Vietnam War and was discharged honorably with several commendations and recommendations. These recognitions included the following: National Defense Service Medal,
Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Combat and Infantry Badge.
Preceding Stanley in death were his parents, Mr. Henry Lester & Mrs. Esther (Lopez) Pilcher; brother, Robert Wayne Pilcher and brother, Jerry Nelson Pilcher. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Charles Pilcher and wife, Sarah of Many, LA; brother, Jimmie Pilcher and wife, Sue of Gassville, AR; sister, Bonnie Pilcher of Littleton, CO; sister, Connie Suazo of Denver, CO; nieces: Karla Migues of Prairieville, LA, Leah Jackson of Natchitoches, LA; Kim Pilcher of Houston, TX, Amanda Lawrence of Mountain Home, AR, Meredith Mabry of Littleton, CO, and Nancy Pilcher; nephews: Cade Pilcher of Many, LA, Wade Pilcher of Florien, LA, Chris Suazo of Englewood, CO; and a host of other family members including friends.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Ronnie Remedies, Mike Remedies, Preston Williams, Joey Migues, Wade Pilcher, and Cade Pilcher.
Stanley's family would like to thank all the staff at Cornerstone of Lake Charles, LA and Deridder Retirement for the comfort and care they provided over the past several years.
