Stanley Edmund James

Stanley Edmund James, 74, of Pleasant Hill, LA met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 30, 2025. He was Preceded in death by his parents Edmund Dolan James and Doris Jane Murray James; his daughter Jenna Janean James; and his dog Bandit.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 55 years Cynthia Kay Anderson James; his daughter Kristen Toulan and her husband Michael Toulan; his son Andrew James and his wife Charioty James; his grandchildren, Brendan And Jenna Toulan, Judah, Ryder, and Journey James; his brothers-in-law Gary Anderson and Needham “Bubba” Neal; his sister-in-law Lenora DeLude and her husband Vern DeLude and Anette Cobbs and her husband Tommy Lynn; his dog Molly and a host of extended relatives.

Stanley loved his wife and children very much. He was always proud of his family. Stanley loved spending time with his friends. He especially loved his daily coffee chats with his best friend, James Murray and his yearly trip to Texarkana with his childhood friend Tex Monday. In his free time, he enjoyed visiting with his neighbors, spending time with his dog, Molly, shooting guns, sitting by the fire, riding the dirt roads, and making delicious pies and candy. Stanley enjoyed watching football and softball and remained a fan of the Louisiana Saints and the LSU Tigers. More recently, he also became a fan of the Texas A&M Aggies.

Stanley Attended Dowell Baptist Church for several years, and more recently, Blueridge Church in Pleasant Hill.

Visitation will be Monday, December 1, 2025 from 5-9 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 1p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA with interment to follow at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, LA with Bro. Rick Martinez officiating.

Pallbearers are his grandchildren, Brendan Toulan, Judah James, and Ryder James along with Ben Isgitt, and Kevin Murray.

Honorary pallbearers are Gary Anderson, James Murray, Tex Monday and Buster Gaddis.
