Celebration of Life services for Sonya Deas Shaw, 44, will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel with Rev. Ron Brown officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, LA under the direction of Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Mansfield Chapel from the hours of 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sonya was born August 26, 1969 in Mansfield, LA and was called to dance with the angels on June 10, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. She will be missed by those who knew her. Left to cherish the precious memories of Sonya will be her husband, Richard Shaw; parents Wanda and Larry Deas; maternal grandmother, Doris Huey, one son, Trevor Dean Heyen; two daughters: Shelley Raelyn Heyen and Annie Hazel Shaw; one sister, Sissy Hall and husband Matthew; one brother, Chad Deas and wife Melinda, along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends. Honoring Sonya as pallbearers will be Colt "Pookie" Ezernack, William Wallace, Kris Lindsey, Bubba Huey, Kyle Deas and Justin Hornsby. The family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
