Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Sonya Renea Doucet will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Many Chapel with Brother Kenneth Leach officiating; interment will immediately follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Many, Louisiana. A visitation for her will be held before the funeral from 10:00AM-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Sonya was born March 10, 1970 in Many, LA to Eula Faye (Oliver) Wedgeworth and Wiley Paul Wedgeworth and she entered into rest on April 25, 2021 in Hemphill, Texas. Preceding her in death were her father, Mr. Wiley Paul Wedgeworth; her sister, Charlene McCormick; and her brothers, Michael and Ricky Wedgeworth. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Randall Doucet of Hemphill, TX; her mother, Eula Faye Wedgeworth of Many, LA; her sons, Michael Jace Eason & wife, Abby of Many, LA, Josef Thomas Doucet of New Iberia, LA, James Chance Doucet & wife, Lauren of New Iberia, LA; her daughters, Kara Eason McWilliams & husband, Dustin of Houston, TX, Jessica Marie Schaubert & husband, Brandon of New Iberia, LA, her sisters, Sharon Montang of Many, LA, Phyllis Greer & husband, Miles of Many, LA; Marsha Cormier & husband, Dan of Many, LA; and brother-in-law, Kenny McCormick of Many, LA; she also has 11 grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Jeffery Bragg, Dustin McWilliams, Chance Doucet, Joseph Doucet, Ricky Doucet, and Jared Bragg. Condolences can be made online to the family at www.rose-neath.com.
