Minden, LA Funeral services for Silas Marvin DuBard, Jr. will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Leland Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Minden Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to service time at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Silas was born December 22, 1928 in Zama, Mississippi and entered into rest April 6, 2019 in Minden, Louisiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years followed by dedicated service to the State of Louisiana, Dept of Labor for another 25 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Teat DuBard, father, Silas Marvin DuBard, Sr., and brother, Harry Leo DuBard. He is survived by his wife, Martha Louise Tatom DuBard of Minden, daughter, Debbie DuBard Crafts and husband Norbert Crafts of Bossier City, and granddaughter, Lily Grace Crafts. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Minden for over 50 years and especially enjoyed the Son Risers Group where he had many friends. His greatest joy in life was sharing God's love with everyone he met. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Minden or to the donor's charity of choice.
