A Memorial Service honoring the life of Mr. Sidney "Sid" Myers, Sr., and Mrs. Bobbie Attaway Myers will be held at 2:p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at O.E. Price Cemetery, Old Mansfield Road & 4 Mile Loop, Logansport, Louisiana. Sidney "Sid" Myers, Sr. was born on June 7, 1928, in Logansport, Louisiana to Charlie and Nancy Myers. Sid passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the age of 93. Bobbie was born on May 13, 1930, in Grand Cane, Louisiana, to Newman and Bessie Attaway. Bobbie passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the age of 91. Sid was a resident of Logansport, LA. He graduated from Logansport High School. Sid worked several years for Beard Welding Company in Shreveport, LA, and Nabors Trailers in Mansfield, LA as a Master Welder. Sid was an innovator and a builder. He invented the original onion blossom make and also, a tool for the oilfield known as the Turbo-Flow Centralizer in 1961. Bobbie graduated from Grand Cane High School. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sid and Bobbie were married for 73 years. Together Sid and Bobbie owned Myers Grocery and Myers Muffler and Tire. Sid and Bobbie were both preceded in death by their parents; their son, Gregory Myers; and their grandson, Stuart Greg Myers. Sid was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Myers; his sister, Adele Ramsey; and two half brothers, Tillman Griffin, and Charlie Griffin. Bobbie was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Deen, Huey White, and Dorothy Holmes; her brothers, Newman S. Attaway, Jr, and Lewis Attaway. Left to cherish their memory includes their sons, Sid C Myers, Jr. of Logansport, LA, Michael Myers and wife Dana of Dudley, Georgia, Jeffrey Myers and wife, Joyce of Logansport, LA, Kevin Myers of Logansport, LA; his sister, Fannie Shaver; his brother, Herbert "Rock" Myers, and wife, Rosella; her sisters, Jo May, Brenda James, and Carol Prince; her brother, Harold Attaway, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
