Shirley Prine Harper

A Memorial Service for Shirley Prine Harper, 70, will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport. A gathering will immediately follow the Memorial Service from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the Memorial Service will be Brother Tom Brown. Shirley was born on June 8, 1951 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to James and Ruth Phillips and gained her wings and went to walk with the angels surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in Greenwood, Louisiana. We will strive to honor her memory by living our lives to the fullest. She was a retired 911 dispatcher with the City of Shreveport Police Department. Her simplest pleasure in life was going to the beach in Panama City, Florida with her family for vacation. She also loved spending most of her time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren remembering all the great memories they shared together that made them laugh. She had a heart of gold for animals particularly cats, dogs and dolphins. Her favorite pet was her dog "Teddy Bear." Shirley is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Phillips; father, James Phillips; and her brother, Jesse Zeigler. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Charles Harper of Shreveport, son, Jamie Prine and wife, Shannon; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. There isn't a day that goes by we won't think of you. We love you dearly!
