Shirley Marie Mullins

Elm Grove- Shirley Marie Cooper Mullins, 77, went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born February 3, 1942 in Ansel, Kentucky to Della Marie and William Sidney Cooper. Mrs. Mullins graduated from Eubank High School in Eubank, KY. She married Gordon Wayne Mullins in 1959. She retired from the VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA after many years of service. Her love of God was very important to her, along with her family, friends and country. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, and sewing. Most of all, she was a beloved wife, sister, and friend who will be missed. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers; Earl, Jack Ralph, Lloyd, and Roscoe Cooper. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gordon Mullins; and three brothers, Gene (Zelene) Cooper of Frazier, KY, Ray (Edna) Cooper of West Virginia, and Bill (Elsie) Cooper of Bethelridge, KY. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Bossier Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Morris and Hislop Funeral Home Chapel in Science Hill, KY. Visitation will begin prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. for family, 11:00 until the time of the service for friends. Graveside services will follow at Science Hill Cemetery in Science Hill, KY.
