Shirley Ann Gallien

Shirley Ann Gallien was born to David Gallien and Leola LeCour Gallien on April 30, 1940, in Isle Brevelle, Louisiana. She was baptized at St. Augustine Catholic Church. She attended St. Joseph Elementary School next to the church and graduated from America High School in Dallas, Texas. She worked for 30 years at Dallas School Board as a secretary until her retirement. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Avis and James; nephew, George (Butch) LaCour; and niece, Laura Gallien Williams. She leaves behind her sisters, Mary LaCour and Frances Metoyer; niece, Theresa Roque; great-niece, Yolanda Williams; nephew, Ray Gallien; along with a host of other relatives.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, located at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 1558 Buena Vista St, Shreveport, LA 71101. Officiating the service will be Fr. Duane Trombetta. A Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Honoring Shirley as pallbearers will be Joseph Levy, Tim Ford, Stanley Roque, Greg Roque, Fredrick Williams, Lawrence LaCour, and Ron Johnson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Louis Mullone, Donald Mullone, Matchie Jr. Mullone, Tommy Mullone, Corey LaCour, and Stacey LaCour.
