Sherman E. Salter

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Sherman Edwin Salter will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Little Flock Baptist Church with Brother Donnie Paul Lewing officiating; interment will follow in The Little Flock Cemetery. A visitation for him will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 beginning at 4:00 PM. The visitation will continue before the funeral from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM at Little Flock Baptist Church. Sherman was born January 27, 1938 in Florien, LA to Betty Mae (Cook) Salter and Thomas Crockett Salter and he entered into rest on December 12, 2020 in Lafayette, LA. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Crockett Salter; his wife, Paula Faye (Lewing) Salter; his daughter, Lindsey Salter; his sisters, Mavis Miller, Leona Carroll, Aliene Davis, and Syble Bush; and his brother, Sid Salter. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amy Salter of Pineville, LA; his daughter, Megan Nichols & husband, David of Florien, LA, his brother, Benny Salter & wife, Corrine of Minden, LA; his 3 grandchildren, Alan, Jase, and Temperance Nichols. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Honoring him as pallbearers will be James Morgan, Ryan Rutherford, Brad Cook, Mike Pitt, Chris Gatti, and Robert Titus.
