Shannon Lee Beatty Thornton

Shannon Lee Beatty Thornton, 57, of Haughton, Louisiana, passed away at her home on September 12, 2026.

She was born on September 19, 1968, at Ft Rucker, Alabama, to Sue Ann Harper Beatty and Eugene Edward Beatty, Jr. Shannon, was a longtime resident of Minden and more recently made her home in Haughton.

She is survived by her son Cole Thornton and his wife, Kellie; her grandson, Stetson; her sister, Deanne Grider, and her husband, Tracy; her cousin, Heather Ogea and son Dade; and her aunt, Charlotte Dorroh of Lake Charles. She will be missed more than words can express and remembered always as a mother, grandmother, sister, and family member.

In accordance with Shannon’s wishes, no services or memorial will be held.
