Scotty Lamar Sanders

A graveside service for Scotty Lamar Sanders, 59, will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside. Officiating the service will be Scotty's uncle, Pastor Jim Nelson. Scotty was born on September 26, 1962 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Audis Lee Sanders and Helen Free Moore Sanders and passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 in Shreveport. Scotty was a resident of Shreveport and a painter by trade which he took great pride and satisfaction. He attended Southwood High School and had a passion for old movies and 70's and 80's music. Scotty is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Terry Sanders. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Christian Sanders Gautreaux and son-in-law Gavin Gautreaux; son, Joshua Aaron Sanders; brothers, Mike Sanders and wife, Becky Sanders, and Steve Sanders; and grandchildren, Ashton, Olivia, and Cameron Gautreaux. Honoring Scotty as pallbearers will be Colton Sanders, Mike Sanders, Steve Sanders, Rick Gaskin, and Gavin Gautreaux. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ashton and Cameron Gautreaux. The family suggests memorials may be made to the National Alliance On Mental Illness.
