Arcadia - Funeral services will be held for Sarah Moak Pate, age 93, at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Rev. Tommy Davidson will officiate. Interment will follow at Hurricane Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Rose-Neath in Arcadia.
Sarah was born February 14, 1926, in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She passed away on May 18, 2019, in Arcadia, LA. Sarah enjoyed gardening. She was happy to share her flowers and her plants with everybody. She had pecan trees which she used to make pecan pies. She was a joy, and will truly be missed.
Sarah is preceded in death by her husband HF (Buddy) Pate, and by her siblings; Lamar Moak, May Valentine, Hazel Moak, Hudson Moak, LV (Pete) Moak, Ernestine Jones, and EW Moak.
She is survived by her son Jay Carter and wife Judy, brother Delaine Moak and wife Sarah, sister Maxine Galdamez, and by by 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
