Shreveport, LA -Sarah Martha Dolce LoBue Bates, Born July 7, 1934. Our dearest Mother, Grandmother and Great MawMaw Sarah closed her eyes and passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Monday November 7, 2016 at The Health Center at Live Oak.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport LA Friday November 11, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Her celebration of Life Service will start at 6:00 PM with a Rosary immediately following. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. by Rev. Phil Michiels, Pastor.
Sarah Martha was co-owner of the well-known Piccadilly Italian Restaurant, which was established in 1952 through 1985. After retirement, she returned to work in Real Estate and Owned the "Busy Bee Arts and Crafts" retail store. At an early age Sarah always loved to be involved in volunteer work. She gave much of her time to raise funds for Holy Angles and Sister Zita.
She inherited her strong work ethic from her parents, she love to work with people. She loved to take charge and run many projects for any occasion. One of her many passions was cooking and entertaining. She was an active member of Saint Ann's Day Circle and The Catholic Women's League for her love of the church.
She started many groups including, Friends Forever for senior married couples, Card Socials, and was also Queen Mother in the first chapter of Shreveport with the Red Hatters Organization.
Her loving Father and Mother, Joseph Anthony Dolce and Josephine Lombardino Dolce, preceded her in death; also Grandparents from Palermo, Italy and husband, Charles A. Bates.
She is survived by her four children from her first marriage to John LoBue, daughter, Gloria A. LoBue Mosley and husband Tommy; sons, John J. LoBue and wife Christy, Anthony LoBue and wife Judy and Joseph A. LoBue and husband Anthony J. Marciona; grandchildren, Tommy Mosley Jr. and wife Gigi, Angela Grooms and husband Shawn, Brady LoBue and wife Tammy, Justin LoBue, Christian LoBue and wife Ashley, Amy LoBue, Rae Anne Antoon, husband Eric, Pete Firmin Jr., wife Marlana, Rachel Johnson, husband Joe and John Firmin; great-grandchildren, Austin and Wyatt Grooms, Troy Mosley, Faith LoBue, John Phillip and Evelyn Antoon and Annie Firmin; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
