Sammy SanAngelo, Jr.

A celebration of Sammy’s life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Simple Church, 130 Plaza Loop, Bossier City, Louisiana, on the south end of the Boardwalk, next to the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. It is easily accessible from the parking garage off Traffic Street. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Sammy was born on August 20, 1956, and passed away on September 8, 2025. He will be greeted in Heaven by his parents, Sam and Gerry San Angelo, and his sister, Missy San Angelo.

Sammy was known by many names, but the one he cherished most was husband, dad, and Papu. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Sammy married Susan in March of 1981, and they have had many joyful years raising their family. They were blessed with two children, Colt San Angelo and Briget San Angelo Skelton. He was proud to call Joe Skelton his son-in-law and delighted in his two grandsons, Max Skelton and Leo Skelton. Colt’s fiancée, Brittany Farrar, and her children, Gunner and Emma Grace, are embraced as family.

Sammy is also survived by his sisters, Prissy Fetlito and her husband, Mike, and Tammy Morgan and her husband, Bobby, along with countless cousins, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He loved them all dearly. He also considered the men in his church life group as brothers, treasuring those relationships as family too.

Sammy owned and operated Audibel of Shreveport for over 35 years, where every customer quickly became a friend. His infectious personality drew people to him, and he had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. He also worked as a house painter for many years, leaving behind not just homes, but memories of his dedication and craftsmanship. People just gravitated to him and his infectious personality.

Sammy was a “car guy” from before he could legally drive. He especially loved his Trans Ams, Camaros, and Corvettes. In his younger years, he couldn't resist the thrill of drag racing down Benton Road, where he loved to win. He also enjoyed riding four-wheelers with his friends and the adventures that came with it.

Family traditions were at the heart of Sammy’s life. When his parents were alive, Sunday night spaghetti dinners became a beloved ritual that everyone cherished. Above all else, nothing brought Sammy more joy than being surrounded by his family. One of his happiest recent memories was a weekend spent this summer in Galveston with Briget and her family.

Sammy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
