Sam James Dupont

A memorial service for Sam James Dupont, of Moreauville, will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Ken Primeaux officiating. A visitation will begin at 9:00am until time of service. 

Sam Dupont, age 66, passed away peacefully at his home on May 22, 2026.

In his free time, he loved hunting, bike riding, and enjoying the outdoors. These hobbies brought him great joy throughout his life and created many cherished memories with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Rita Dupont of Simmesport; his sons, Steven Dupont of Big Bend and Scott Dupont of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his daughter, Jessica (Jake) Dekle of Marksville; sisters, Janet (Aristide) Newsom of Simmesport and Paula (Robert) Boudreaux of Simmesport; brother, Kelly (Tiffany) Dupont of Marksville; two grandchildren, Gage and Jase Dekle; other relatives, William “Willy” Dupont and Barry “Pedro” Dupont of Marksville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Dupont; cousins, Roger Dupont, Wayne Dupont, and William “WD” Dupont.
