Funeral services for Ryan Carroll Redstone will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Tom Moore.
Ryan, 55 years of age, passed Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Ryan was born April 24, 1970, in Shreveport, Louisiana. After graduating from Captain Shreve High School in 1989, Ryan worked as a welder for a few years, followed by a lengthy career in culinary arts working with Clay Cook of Cook's Culinary. Most recently, Ryan worked in the oilfield supply business with his long-time friend Sean McInnis of RMC Sales.
Ryan was a man of simple means. He was kind, easy going and always a gentleman.
Ryan loved spending time with his family. He knew the value of learning from the older generation and treasured spending time with his grandparents in the country. He also loved the many summers he spent at Camp Fern in Marshall, Texas where he learned to water ski and ride horses. In his last year as a camper, Ryan was awarded Grand Champion of the Horse Show. Over the years, Ryan enjoyed cooking, especially barbecuing, and was an avid reader, specifically about mountain men and early American history. He also enjoyed learning about Native Americans and spending time at Lake Bistineau.
Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Robert Redstone, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Redstone, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Lawson and Charlotte Grigg and nephew, Christopher Redstone.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Howard; brothers, Teaven Redstone (Valerie), Trenton Redstone (Tonya), Robert Redstone (Regina); sister, Leah Sheehey (Mick); nephews, John Redstone, Elliot Redstone, Christian Duncan; nieces, Olivia Duncan, Julia Sheehey, Carol Causey (Andy) and Kayleigh Cash; great-nephew, Kendrick Duncan and great-niece, Chloe Causey. Ryan is also survived by his special friend, Mandy Larson and her daughter, Brooklyn Hays.
Honoring Ryan as pallbearers will be Teaven Redstone, Trenton Redstone, Robert Redstone, John Redstone, Elliot Redstone, Mick Sheehey, Jeff Faludi and Joey Greenwald. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Sean McInnis.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
