Ruthie C. Rials

Shreveport, LA - Ruthie C. Rials age 89, passed away on February 25, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mrs. Rials was born to Floyd and Ella Colston on July 24, 1930 in Many, Louisiana. She graduated from Greenwood High School and went to V.O. Technical college. She worked for the Town of Greenwood as a town clerk for 50 years. She was very active in Greenwood Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Rials was a seamstress and enjoyed making clothes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Rials was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jessie "J.B." Rials; parents; brothers, Leon Colston and Willard Colston. She is survived by her children, James Rials, Jerry Rials and wife Sue; grandchildren, Angela MaGee, Melissa Langley and husband Warren, Jennifer Githens and husband Ross, David Rials and wife Dara, Justin Rials, Jeremy Rials and wife Tiffanie, Jamie Rials; great grandchildren, Madison Carroll, Morgan Carroll, Waylon Langley, Wyatt Langley, Jack Githens, Cullen Githens, Max Rials, MiraBella Rials, Jackson Rials, Jocelyn Rials, Raeanne Ivy, Maranda Wilber, Michael Drudge, Riley Drudge; sister, Pearlie Walter and husband John. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Pastor David Rials and Reverend Ed Cooper will be officiating the service. Graveside services will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA. Honoring Mrs. Ruthie C. Rials as a pallbearer will be Justin Rials, Warren Langley, Blake Paxton, Jeremy Rials, Ross Githens and John Paxton. The family would like to give special acknowledgement to Garden Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center staff and St. Joseph Hospice staff.
