Funeral services for Ruth Tanner will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. T.F. Tenney, Rev. Jeff Ramsey, and Rev. Gerald Trammell officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the church. Ruth was born August 11, 1938 in Plain Dealing, Louisiana and entered into rest June 5, 2016 in Minden, Louisiana. She was a faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church. Her father Rev. T. W. Barnes preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Sam F. Tanner of Minden, mother Lucille Barnes of Minden, son Michael Gray and wife Shelley of Keithville, Louisiana, daughters Sharon Garris and husband David, Ginger Garris, and Lisa Edwards and husband Jeff all of Minden, stepdaughters Becky Barnard and husband Bryan and Debbie Coyle and husband Robert all of Shreveport, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
