Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta, Louisiana with Pastor DJ Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Spring Southern Methodist Church Cemetery, 203 Davis Springs Rd, Campti, LA 71411.

Ruth Burns was born on November 2, 1933 in Campti, Louisiana and entered into rest on Monday, April 1, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, William L and Alice Smith. Brothers: Jesse Smith and David Smith. Sisters: Hazel Harper, Myrtle Slaughter, Lucille Silvie, Annie Olds and Jeanette Pullig Beach. She is survived by her children: Sons: Tony Liker and pet Noodles, Henderson, TX., Randy Liker and wife Helen, Bossier City, LA. Daughters: Debra L. Wells and husband Steven, Minden, LA., Phyllis B. Watson and husband Craig, Minden, LA., Kelly L. Shelley and husband Tony, Pineville, LA. Grandchildren: Virginia Wells, Davon \"Moe\" Humphries, Kevin Liker, Andrew Hickman, Brandon Liker, Shannon Faulkinberry, Ashley Smith, Alicia Adams, JimChris Watson and Garrett Shelley. Great Grandchildren: Alexis Miller, Abby Liker, William Hickman, Shawn Hickman and Kadience Smith. Sisters: Pearlie Wolf, Grand Cane, LA and Dorothy Niemeier, Woodville, TX. Brothers: Henry Smith and wife Mona, San Diego, CA, Jimmy Smith, Campti, LA, Tommy Smith, Ray Smith, Jerry Smith Numerous nieces and nephews. Our family would like to extend our appreciation and a heartfelt thank you to Town and Country Nursing and Rehabilitation in Minden, Louisiana. The Rehabilitation Department, the Physical Therapy Unit and especially to the Magnolia Hall Nursing, CNAs and Housekeeping staff. Each one of them provided above and beyond exceptional service, love and care of our moma. We could not have asked for a better home for our moma to be a resident.
