Royce Wendell McCutcheon

A Graveside service Celebrating the life of Royce W. McCutcheon will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday March 22, 2024, at Bethel Cemetery in the Bethel Community, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Mark Forrest and assisting will be grandson, Bradley Hale. The Family will receive family and friends at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street Mansfield, Louisiana from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.    

Royce was born March 27, 1929, to Roy Wendell McCutcheon and Thelma Opal Scott in Hutto, Texas and entered rest on Friday March 15, 2024, in Lufkin, Texas.

He proudly served his country as a sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War. Royce retired from Rohm & Haas Chemical company after 32 years of service. He enjoyed traveling and RVing. After his retirement, he was very active in the Goose Creek Masonic Lodge #1192, and the Baytown Shrine Club.

Preceding him in death are his father, Roy W. McCutcheon, stepmother, Effie McCutchen, mother, Thelma McCutcheon: son, John A. McCutcheon; daughter, Deana McCutcheon; and sister, Evelyn McCutcheon.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Gloria McCutcheon; daughters, Melinda Helton and husband, Craig, and Alicia “Lisa” Hale; grandchildren, Gregory K. Baxter, Jr., Cody Baxter, Bradley Hale, and wife Mandy, and Leeann Hale, great grandchildren, Taylor Hale, and Kelly Hale.

Pallbearers will be Greg Baxter, Jr., Cody Baxter, Brad Hale, Taylor Hale, Craig Helton, John Sledge, and Leeann Hale.
