Don't say "Roy Tucker has died," I have just begun to live, beginning May 13, 2019- I've joined my Heavenly Father, Jesus, my mother Estelle Hattie Lambert Tucker and mother-in-law Eula Martin Mangrum. Others are Father, Edward Dote Tucker, Sr., Edward Dote Tucker, Jr. (Yvonne); George W. Tucker (Joe Anne); Mildred Judd, and aunt-in-law, Cora Lee Martin. I was born October 16, 1930 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
I am leaving my soulmate wife of 42+ years, Sharon Mangrum Tucker, sons, Dennis Tucker (Mary) of Austin, TX; Gary Tucker of Tulsa, OK; stepson James (Jamey) Pruitt (Beate) of Minden. Daughters, Connie Tucker Finley (Alan) and special daughter acquired through love, Miranda Pruitt Henson (Brad) of Minden, sister, Margaret Tucker of Keen, NH, brothers-in-law, J.B. Mangrum of Bloomburg, TX and Gerald Mangrum (Karen) of Seattle, WA, fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
My retirement came August 15, 1982 from Bell South after beginning May 4, 1950. I served in the Naval Reserves for six years and as one of Deen's deputies in Bossier Parish for Larry Deen.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Evergreen Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Stratton officiating.
