A graveside service for Roy Henry Tabor, 82, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 11708 Providence Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Steve Gilley.
Roy was born August 31, 1940 in Shreveport to A.D. and Hazel Tabor and passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at his home in Shreveport.
Roy was a resident of Shreveport. He was married for 42 years to the love of his life, Aleiace Tabor. He graduated from Greenwood High School after which he served in the Marines. He served as a police officer for the City of Shreveport for 25 years. After retiring from the SPD as an Assistant Chief, he went to work in the City Marshall’s Office in Marshall, Texas. He loved antique cars and car shows. He was a member of Red River Car Club for more than 20 years where he was given the nickname, Hot Rod Roy. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his dog, Tiger. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and loved giving to multiple organizations.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents and first wife. Left to cherish his memory is his current wife, Huleen Borowski; sons, Roy “Randy” Tabor (Tammy), Tim G. Tabor (Tammy), Mark K. Tabor (Sheila Taylor); brother, Ray A. Tabor (Dottie); grandchildren, Justin R. Tabor (Allie), Brooke Moore (Thomas), Timothy James Tabor (Tomoko) and Cody K. Tabor (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Aleiace Tabor, Jaylei Tabor, Ryker Tabor, Abbi Moore, Heidi Moore, Timothy A. Tabor, Bellerose Tabor and Claire Tabor.
Roy will be terribly missed by his family and friends but will live on in our hearts forever.
