Rosielien Brown

A Funeral service celebrating the life of Rosielien Brown, 76, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Old Pisgah Baptist Church in Marthaville, Louisiana with Bro. Dean Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Ridge Cemetery, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Old Pisgah Baptist Church.

Rosielien was born on December 24, 1948, in DeQuincy, Louisiana to Albert Meshell and Corrine Stains and passed away August 18, 2025, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana.

Rosielien was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Martin Meshell, Ronnie Meshell, Billy Ray Meshell, and Peter Roy Stains; granddaughter, Kelsi Wates; and grandson, R.J. Wates.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Trey Brown (Tonya) daughter, Rosemary Wates; son-in-law Bobby Wates; sister, Mary Jo Campbell; brother, Emmett Meshell (Linda); grandchildren, Christian Brown (Hannah), Brayliegh Ryan (Dalton), Boogie Brown (Fiancé Lana), Allison Brown (fiancé Braiden), Chelsi Wates, Madison Wates, and Carson Wates; great grandchildren, Raelynn Ryan, Huntley Craig, and Asher Brown, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Rosielien as pallbearers will be Trey Brown, Carson Wates, Christian Brown, Boogie Brown, Dalton Ryan, Braiden Craig, Steven Davis, and Jimmy Brown.
