RoseMary was born on September 25, 1935 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Ellis and Adele Namee and passed away at home on Monday, June 19, 2023 in Shreveport.

She was a 1952 graduate of Byrd High School  and attended business college. She was married to David Boyd Strickland, Sr. for 32 years that produced three wonderful children: David Boyd Strickland, Jr., Donald Wayne Strickland, and Darlene Adele Strickland Causey.

RoseMary worked as a food demonstrator for 15 years in Brookshires, Krogers and other local grocery stores. She eventually opened her own broker, demonstrator business: RoseMary and Associates and was a prominent businesswoman in Louisiana for 45 years. She teamed up with Sam Walton flying to cities to provide demonstrators for all the Sam’s Club warehouses. She fell in love with Mr. Tommy Coe who was her life partner for 20+ years until his death in 2010. She was a giver to anyone that needed just about anything. She loved traveling with “Tommy” to Nashville visiting the Grand Ole Opry and other destinations when able. RoseMary, “Mammaw” adored her family. She loved to cook for her children and have their friends over to eat. She loved spending time with her grandchildren watching them at football games and cheer competitions. She loved going shopping! One thing for sure, if there was a sale going on . . . she was first in line! Instead of buying one, she bought them all!

RoseMary is preceded in death by her mother, Adele George Namee; father of her children, David Boyd Strickland, Sr.; and son, David Boyd Strickland, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Donald Wayne Strickland and wife, Leah of Shreveport; daughter, Darlene Adele Strickland Causey and husband, Stephen of Shreveport; daughter-in-law, Trisha Strickland of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, David Boyd Strickland III and wife, Laura of Mississippi, Shanna Strickland Lumpkin and husband, Brian of Houston, Texas, Brittany Strickland of Shreveport, Randy Stover and wife, Kaycee of San Antonio, Texas, Ashley Stover Johnston and husband, Brad of Orlando, Florida; great-grandchildren, Miriam, Anne Grace and Rosie Strickland, Gentry Claire and Landry Lumpkin, Brody and Brilynne Patton, Kane and Ryder Stover, Savannah and Isabel Johnston, and Joley Richardson.
