Funeral service for RosaLee Ann Deshotel of Cottonport will begin at 4:30pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville. RosaLee Deshotel, age 78, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Keith Gaspard of Cottonport; daughter, Kim Lachney of Cottonport; sisters, Dianna Knoll of Slidell, Connie Buxton of Nevada, and Lorraine Landry of Lafayette; brothers, Ralph Deshotel of Hessmer, Hosea (Minnie) Deshotel, Jr. of Hessmer, and Eugene Deshotel of Lafayette; grandchildren: Kevin (Sara) Gaspard of Cocoville, Justin (Rebecca) Gaspard of Houma, Cody (Shelby) Gaspard of Lawtel, Blake (Elizabeth) Gaspard of Hessmer, and Gracie Gaspard of Hessmer. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Gaspard; parents, Hosea Deshotel, Sr. & Verdie Mayeux Deshotel; grandson, Jake Gaspard; brothers, Charles Deshotel, Eddie Deshotel, Sr., and Gerald Deshotel; and her significant other, Terrill Normand. A visitation will begin at 4:00pm until time of service on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville. Visitation will resume after the service until 10:00pm. Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville have been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
