Ronny David Bordelon aka “King” by close friends, “Pop”, by grandchildren, age 78, a dedicated and loving father of Marksville, passed from this life to be with the Lord on September 19, 2025. He will be laid to rest by his family at a private service on a later date.
Ronny grew up on a dairy farm in Marksville, LA, with a loving family. He adored his mother, revered his father, and loved his sister.
Ronny was a graduate of Marksville High School in 1964 and graduated from LSU in 1973 with a B.S. in Agriculture and Masters in Education. After teaching high school for eight years, he moved from Baton Rouge back to Marksville and farmed together with his dad while learning the car business with his wife’s family, until he would later own and operate his own car dealership for over 30 years in Lafayette. He was a man whose laughter and wit could light up any room. Ronny had a rare gift for making strangers laugh as easily as he did lifelong friends. His infectious love for life and hearty chuckle brought joy to all who crossed his path. Whether sharing a humorous story or a warm smile, he made everyone feel like family. His warm spirit and quick wit left an indelible mark, and he will be fondly remembered by many in the Avoyelles Parish Community.
Ronny is preceded in death by his parents, Emeric & Bertha Bordelon.
Survivors include his five children, Lisa Bordelon of Dallas, TX., Ronny Bordelon, Jr. of Marksville, Ashley Miller (Alan) of Marksville, Amie Bordelon of Miami, FL., and Roch Bordelon of Marksville; his sister, Jackie Starns of Marksville; five grandchildren, Gage Bordelon, William Miller, Michael Miller, Lila Bordelon, and Sebastian Bordelon; and his beloved partner, Guynn Mayeux of Marksville.
The family would like to thank all caregivers who were there in his time of need.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to your local church.
