A memorial service for Ronnie Hubert Brasher, 77, will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at The Covenant Church, 5290 Benton Rd., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Jason Wood.
Ronnie was born on March 9, 1949, to William Hubert and Aleda Brasher in Lake Providence, Louisiana and passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Ronnie was a proud graduate of Lake Providence High School, Class of 1967. He later married the love of his life, Susan Brasher, and together they shared 46 years of devotion, partnership, and family. He worked for AT&T for more than 30 years, building a career marked by dedication, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Outside of work, Ronnie spent 51 years studying Isshin‑ryu karate, ultimately earning the rank of ninth‑degree black belt, a reflection of his discipline, commitment, and deep respect for the art.
Ronnie was passionate about many things, but nothing meant more to him than his family and his grandchildren. He loved music, he loved helping others, and he carried himself with a kindness and patience that made everyone feel welcome. He was always smiling, always steady, and always willing to lend a hand. To his family, he was the best dad and Papa ever, a gentle, loving presence whose impact will be felt for generations. To know Ronnie was to know a truly good man, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, William Hubert and Aleda Brasher, and by his beloved wife, Susan Jordan Brasher.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Adam Brasher and wife, Sarah, with their children, Seth, Charlie, and Andrew, and Lance Brasher and wife, Melissa, with their children, Isabella, Hannah, and Jordan. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Herrington, and husband, Jim, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family asks that flowers be delivered to the Covenant Church.
