Funeral services for Ronald Coleman ("Ron"), 75, will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Shreveport Community Church at the Rodney Duron Chapel, 5720 Buncombe Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Chaz Coleman, son of Ron Coleman.
Ron was born on May 7, 1946, in Shreveport, Louisiana to James Tracy Coleman and Danna Crocker Coleman and passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Ron was a resident of Shreveport and a District Manager for the Shoe Show Company for over 30 years. He treated his hundreds of employees like they were part of his family. He was a loving, caring father and devoted friend to many. He was a faithful member of Shreveport Community Church where he enjoyed attending church services and functions. He was a simple man that loved his family and friends to the fullest. He also enjoyed viewing sports.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Roy Glen Coleman. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kelly Tomlinson and husband, Thomas, Kelly Dawn Cravens and husband, Howard, Matt Coleman and wife, Suzanne Martin, Chaz Coleman and wife, Bethany, Chynna Curylo and husband, Stewart, Madeline Gilcrease and husband, Johnny, Jeremy (Tae Koo Lee) and wife, Stella Lee; grandchildren, Holly Haddad and husband, Levi, Kaitlyn Freund, Jonathan Gundlach, Ace, Rhett and Liam Gilcrease, Katherine Coleman; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Gage Haddad, and Amelia Gundlach; sister, Brenda Burcham and husband, Greg; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
Honoring Ron as pallbearers will be Howard Cravens, Joey Coleman, Micah McCann, Jonathan Mouton, Roy Coleman, and Kevin Kocher. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jaxon Haddad, Tom Tomlinson and Levi Haddad.
Ron will be greatly missed by his entire family and his many friends.
