Ronald "Ronnie" Barnes

A graveside service for Ronald “Ronnie” Barnes, 80, will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Ridge Cemetery, 801 Spring Ridge Rd, Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother David Hill.

Ronnie was born on March 4, 1945 to Woodrow Barnes and Verta Ree Barnes in George West, Texas and passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Verta Barnes; brothers, Carl Eugene Barnes, Doyle Barnes, and Rocky Tyler; and brother-in-law, Randle Brown. He is survived by his sons, Ronald Dustin Barnes of Corpus Christi, Texas and Jason Barnes of Texas; daughter, Lori Fisher of Texas; sister, Ella Fay Brown of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana; brothers, Jimmy Barnes of Tucson, Arizona and Kenneth Barnes and wife, Vonnie, of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana; grandchildren, Renee Fisher and Westin Fisher; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Honoring Ronnie as pallbearers will be Melvin Brevelle, Skylar Waddle, Dub Wayne Barnard, David Tyler, Austin Tyler, and Alvin Bruce.

Services and care were provided to the family by Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana.
