The viewing and memorial service for Ron will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The memorial service will follow at True Vine Church of Arcadia starting 1:00 p.m.
Ronald Lynn Baker was born December 10, 1949 in Mann, Virginia to William and Dorothy Baker. He passed away on December 2, 2021, in Arcadia, La.
Proceeded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Baker and his sister, Donna Ringer, and his dog, Wes.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are Marilyn, his wife of 22 years; four children Bekki (Travis) Tucker; Rachel Simon (partner Spencer Stewart); Crystal (Michael) Lauve; and Dee (Yancy) Cazes; nieces Connie Chaffins (Michael) and daughter Carter; Treva Ringer and children Will and Preston; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Ron's warm and friendly smile made everyone around him feel like family and sparked life-long friendships. He never met a stranger. Ron, also known as Poppi, loved to fish, hunt, ride motorcycles, was a patriot, and loved to spend time with his family. Poppi was a big man with a soft heart, especially for all his grandchildren. Although he was raised in Virginia, he lived in Ohio in his early adult years, and settled in Louisiana.
