Roland Donovan Pollard

Roland (RoRo) Donovan Pollard, 61, of Shreveport, La., entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on February 25, 2026.

Born on July 27, 1964, to Glenn and Sylvia Pollard, Roland grew up alongside his two brothers, two sisters, and Aunt Sissy.

Roland was known to be a very clean and meticulous person. If you left your things lying around, he would put them up for you, usually in a place where you would never see them again. He loved hugs and had a great sense of humor. Even though Roland was essentially nonverbal, he had no problem getting his point across. He is truly loved and will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by his father, Glenn Willis Pollard, and Aunt Margaret (Sissy) Puckett.

Survived by: His mother, Sylvia R. Pollard, Siblings: Glenn D. Pollard, Sherry Pollard, Lori Taravella and husband Sam Taravella Jr., Wade Pollard and wife Candice Pollard, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, La..

The family would like to give a special thanks to Gwen Jackson, who cared for Roland for over 30 years.

We would also like to thank the WKS ICU stepdown nurses who cared for Roland as well, and Monique with Bristol Hospice, who cared for Roland and showed love and support to the family.
