Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 6:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at the Rose-Neath Chapel. Officiating will be Lee Arthur Jeter Sr.
Time to Be Born
Rocky Allen Huff was born on May 27, 1955 in Houston, Texas. He was the oldest of four children born to Virgil Ray and Ruby Anita Hudson Huff.
A Time to Live
Rocky graduated from Bossier High School in 1973. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp for four years and four more in the United States Coast Guard. He was honorably discharged from both branches. Later Rocky worked for the United States Postal Service as an electronic technician until retiring after 30 years.
A Time to Love
Rocky met the love of his life, Alice, in the summer of 1984. They were married on April 6, 1986 and spent 35 loving years together raising their five children. Rocky enjoyed traveling with family, tinkering with computers, cooking, and listening to everything from classical to rock and roll music. Rocky was hardly ever seen without a book in his hand, whether at the beach, or relaxing at home.
A Time to Die
Rocky passed away at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Preceded in death by his father, Virgil Ray Huff; grandparents, Granny and Granddaddy Huff; maternal grandparents, Granny and Granddaddy Hudson; in-laws, Michael and Rita McDaniel; uncles, Bobby and Danny Hudson; and nephew, Zachary Huff.
A Time to Remember
Rocky is survived by his wife of 35 years, Alice McDaniel Huff; mother, Ruby Anita Hudson Huff; stepmother, Rebecca Huff; sons, Daniel, Michael, Kyle and wife Erica; daughters, Kaitlyn and Megan; grandchildren, Charlotte and Theodore Rocky; brothers, Franklin and Crystal Huff, Kenny and Darlene Caple, and Martin Andrus; sisters, Kimberly and Mike Cole, Renee Nicholson, and Sandra and Danny Frazier; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.
