Robert was born July 11, 1951 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Robert and Norma Johnson Stalvey. Most of his life Robert worked as a carpenter at Skyline and Tilley's mobile homes. He met and married the love of his life Lanell Keith and were married for 24 years. When he was not working Robert enjoyed traveling, especially to Wyoming, fishing and anything related to outdoors. When he had a big mess of brim and catfish, he was ready for a fish fry and the whole family was invited. He was quite the practical jokester, and you never knew what he was going to say. One of his favorite past times was to watch the old timey western shows, especially if John Wayne was the star.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife; son, Robert E. Stalvey and wife, Gaye; sister, Carol Crook and husband, Ernie; brother-in-law, R.J. Keith; stepdaughters, Lori Foshee, Penny Douglas, Meg Weems, Shawnee Robins; stepsons, Kevin Plunkett and wife, Wendy and Joe Thigpen; two grandchildren, Amanda Foshee and Mason Stalvey; two great-grandchildren, Madison Foshee and Mackenzie Foshee; and step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
