Robert Edward Simpson

Funeral services for Robert Edward Simpson, 89, who passed away on December 23, 2018 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Bob Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Eppes Cemetery on Greenwood Rd. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Robert was born March 5, 1929 in Bossier City, LA. He was a retired cotton farmer in Shreveport and an independent business owner in Coral Gables, FL. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Mary Reese Simpson; and his brothers, Donald A., Henry O., and Collier H. Simpson. He is survived by two sons, Robert A (Roshan) and Russell Simpson; daughter, Mary Susan Petrillo (Tim); and three grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Gloria S. Campbell, Cleora S. Peterson, and Rose Slusher (Gene) as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special relative and friend, Jim Reese of Houston, TX. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. We know he is in his Heavenly home with his Lord.
