Converse, LA - A funeral service celebrating the life of Robert Nelson Ott, 77, will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Mitchell Baptist Church. Officiating will be Bro. Bobbye Russell, pastor of Mitchell Baptist, with Bro. Azell "Junior" Ott assisting. Interment will follow at Spring Ridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill, LA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday at the church. Robert was born on August 27, 1944 in Pleasant Hill to Tom and Tulsa Miller Ott and passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at his home. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish. Preceding him in death are his parents and four siblings; sisters Lily Youngblood and Judy Hippler, and brothers Melton Ott and T.J. Ott. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Glenna Rains Ott; sons, James Ott, and Benjamin Ott; sisters Lucille Rivers and Debra Ott; brother Franklin Ott; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Robert as pallbearers will be Thomas Workmaster, Lee Hardy, Wayne Rains, Junior Hardy, Jerry Rains, Jonathan Workmaster, and Thomas Anderson.
