A Graveside Service for Robert William Morgan, Sr. will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Antioch Church of Christ, 1359 LA-3121 in Spearsville, Louisiana with viewing and visitation. Robert William Morgan Sr., son of Elbert (Sam) and Bess Morgan, was born in Arcadia, Louisiana on October 2, 1947 and passed peacefully on January 30, 2022. Robert attended Arcadia High School and after graduation, enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in Japan and the Philippines as an airplane mechanic during the Vietnam War. He worked in the oil and gas industry for a number of years until retirement. Hunting, fishing, and RV traveling were among his favorite hobbies. He left many friends in Arcadia, especially those that liked to congregate at the local cafe and drink coffee together. Robert is preceded in death by his mother, father and his brother, Jack E. Morgan, Jr. He is survived by his children, Dr. Kelly Morgan Carlisle and husband, Brian Carlisle of Bremerton, Washington; Robert William Morgan, Jr. and his wife Kassie Morgan of Minden, Louisiana; Brandon Mark Morgan of Sterlington, Louisiana; and Amy Morgan Rose and husband, Mike Rose of Vernon Hills, Illinois. He is also survived by his sisters JoAnne Williams of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Martha McHale of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; and Beth Hamilton of Ringgold, Louisiana, as well as several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. We are thankful that he had a special friend in the last years of his life, Julie Risinger, who cared for him deeply. Serving as pallbearers are Dennis Hamilton (brother-in-law), Mike Rose (son-in-law), Eric Hamilton, Michael McHale, Jay Morgan (nephews), and Royce Lee. A graveside service only will be held at Antioch Church of Christ, 1359 LA-3121, Spearsville, LA at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 with viewing and visitation. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Alzheimer\'s Association, act.alz.org or 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601. The family requests that masks be worn if attending the graveside service.
