Robert Joseph Luck

A memorial service will be held for Robert Joseph "Joe" Luck on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 4 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Minden. A visitation will precede the service from 3-4 PM. Joe was born in Minden, LA on March 20, 1940 and passed away at his home on June 14, 2014 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Moreland Luck; his brothers Tommy Luck and William Glen Luck. He is survived by his wife Joan Wiley Luck; son Kevin Luck and wife Tracy; granddaughter Hannah Claire Luck of Minden; sister Mary Ann Anderson and husband Ken of Atlanta, TX; stepchildren Cyndy Gay and husband Kenneth of Minden, LA; Mandy Barber and husband Ron of Chino Valley, AZ; Becky White of Minden, LA; Mark Clement and wife Lindie of Fordoche, LA; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joe graduated from Minden High School in 1958 and afterwards attended LA Tech. He served proudly in the United States Air Force. He loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with family, friends and his beloved pup Molly. He was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church and a long time member of the church choir and the Minden Community Chorus. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the class of 1958 of MHS. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Michael Chanler, Dr. Phillip Rozeman; the EMTs of Advanced EMS; and the staff at Minden Medical Center.
