Robert Reid Buseick

Shreveport, LA - A Private Family Service celebrating the life of Robert Reid Buseick "Bob", 85, was held on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Bob was born May 30, 1933, in Long Creek, Oregon to Mary Elizabeth Buseick and Reid John Buseick. He passed away November 18, 2018, in Shreveport, La. He met the Love of his life, Jan, while the two of them worked one summer at Crater Lake. They were married on September 5, 1954. They lived in Lake Oswego before leaving in 1969 for Shreveport and Centenary College of Louisiana. Dad spent 36 years as Chair of Theatre and Dance Department at Centenary College of Louisiana. Theatre and the arts were what Dad loved most. When he wasn't involved in the arts he and Mom loved food and travel. These past three years have been difficult as he took care of Mom and showed us children the meaning of love. Everyday with out complaint he took care of her. We truly believe a broken heart is what took him to be with Mom. Preceding Bob in death were his parents and beloved wife Jan, his brother John Buseick and sister Donna Gienger. Survived by his sister Barbara Richman and brother David Resing and numerous nieces and nephews. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Mary-Jan Paulson and husband Michael, Stephen Buseick and wife Diane, Margaret Whittington and husband Dick, Jeffrey Buseick, Sr. and wife Jenny; grandchildren Margaret Harris and husband Drew, Andrew Paulson, Bret Buseick and wife Mallorie, Brad Buseick and wife Megan, Kyndal Carroll and husband Dalton, Dee Whittington, Jacklyn Brown and husband Justin, Jeffrey Buseick Jr. and wife Anna, Cory Buseick, Lacy Buseick and fiancé Bryce Bradley; great-grandchildren, Joslyn Buzzanca, Colton Harris, Brynleigh Buseick, Brown Buseick, Livie Buseick, Bear Buseick, Remi Carroll, Lexington Buseick and Evangeline Buseick. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Craig Miller and the staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont.
