Robert B. Anthony, Jr. (Bob) was born on August 27, 1939, in Florien, Louisiana. Bob was the third of five children born to Robert Bernice Anthony and Lona Belle Salter Anthony. He died suddenly on March 5, 2022, in Mansfield, Louisiana. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Diana Anthony, his parents, his sisters, Darnell Anthony Phelps and Dorothy Anthony Smath, and his brother Dillon Anthony. Being born in Florien, Louisiana Bob started school in Many and later finished high school in Texarkana, Texas where his family had moved. After high school, he served in the United States Marine Reserves. His first marriage to Carolyn Schiemann Anthony led to their three children and a move to the San Francisco Bay area of California in the 1960s. Bob worked in California as a welder/ pipefitter for UA Local 467 for over 25 years and received his 55 service year pin in July 2021. In his spare time, he loved riding his Honda and Harley Davidson motorcycles and working on them. Upon retirement, he moved back to Louisiana in 1994 where he and his then-wife Diana spent many years on Toledo Bend Lake in Logansport in the home he and his brother originally built for their parents. Bob is survived by his sons Robert B. Anthony, III of Logansport, Michael Patrick Anthony of Grand Cane, one daughter Rauline Denise Anthony Cruise of Stonewall, and one brother, Tommy Douglas Anthony of Texarkana, TX. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
