Rita Fern Williams

Funeral services were held for Rita J. Williams, 82, at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. William Colvin officiating. Visitation was held Saturday night from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer. Mrs. Rita Williams was born January 17, 1932 in Homer, LA to James and Eva Thomas Johnson. She entered into rest Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in Homer, LA. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School class at Calvary Baptist Church. She is preceded by her husband of 43 years, Paul Williams and sister Emma Jo Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters Allyson Allums and husband Steve of Shreveport, LA, Cathy Dinger and husband Ed of West Monroe, LA and Bonnie Gates and husband David of Fairfield, VA; grandchildren Brittney Draper and husband Dustin and Zac Allums both of Shreveport, LA and Ben Gates, John Paul Gates and wife Dana, both of Richmond, VA.
